Prt. William Liston, formerly of the South Lancashire Regiment, served in No.5 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 5^th June 1944.

Prt. William Liston was reported as being Killed In Action (KIA) on 11th June 1944, aged 24 years. He was laid to rest in Ranville War Cemetry (Calvados, France). Grave IVA.G.10.
